UPSC Topper Divya referred to NCERT books and the standard books recommended by most of the toppers for the preparation for the Civil Services Examination like Indian Polity by M. Laxmikanth, Indian Economy by Nitin Singhania, Ancient History by RS Sharma, Geography by GC Leong, Modern History by Spectrum, etc.

She didn’t take any coaching for UPSC preparation and focused solely on self-study, and she qualified for the CSE Prelims with self-study. After that, she joined Drishti IAS’s Mentorship Programme for Civil Services (Main) Exam which helped her boost her preparation and crack this exam in her first attempt with the Hindi medium.

Divya Tanwar scored 930 marks out of 2025 marks in UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination 2021 which comprise 751 marks in the written exam and 179 marks in the interview, also known as the personality test.

Hindi literature is the optional subject of AIR 438 Divya Tanwar, and she cracked the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021 in the Hindi medium.

IPS Divya Tanwar Biography

Divya Tanwar hails from a very humble family background in Nimbi village of Mahendragarh district, Haryana. Her family’s economical condition is not that good, yet she cracked the UPSC Civil Services Examination with her hard work and perseverance.

She has done her schooling at her village’s primary school and then got admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. After that, she has done her graduation from Government PG College, Mahendragarh with B.Sc. Then she thought to prepare for the Civil Services Examination, and due to economical reasons she focused on self-study and she cracked the UPSC exam on her first attempt.

Divya has secured All India Rank 438 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, and looking at the rank she might get Indian Police Service. And after her training, we may very soon see her as an IPS officer. She is really a great source of inspiration, and the aspirants need to learn a lot of things from her apart from her UPSC preparation strategy.
