Mayank Dubey hails from a very humble background in a village in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. He has done his schooling at a government school in his hometown itself and then went to NIT Raipur to pursue B.tech in Civil Engineering.
After his graduation, Mayank Dubey started his preparation for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and gave his first attempt but couldn’t qualify. With strengthening his preparation, he kept appearing in this so-called toughest exam and this is his 4th attempt where he managed to get an All India Rank 147 with Hindi medium.
Looking at his rank, he might get the Indian Police Service in his service allocation and we may very soon see Mayank Dubey as an IPS officer after his training. He is really an inspiration for aspirants from whom we can learn consistency and persistence as he kept trying and cracked the UPSC exam on his fourth attempt.
As he has appeared in the UPSC exam in Hindi medium, Mayank Dubey chose Hindi literature as optional. And it has really helped him score better marks as most of his schooling has been done in Hindi medium and so he had a natural tendency toward Hindi literature.
Mayank Dubey has scored 974 marks out of 2025 marks in total which comprises 806 marks in the Civil Services (Main) written exam and 168 marks in the Personality Test, also known as the interview.
These are some of the standard UPSC preparation books that most aspirants study along with the NCERT textbooks. NCERT books for classes IX, X, XI, and XII are a great resource for a basic understanding of the concepts and topics covered in the UPSC syllabus.
As Mayank Dubey appeared in the Civil Services Exam with Hindi medium, so his preparation strategy might be somewhat different from other medium candidates but the booklist remains the same.
