Priyamvada Ashok Mhaddalkar has secured All India Rank 13 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021 in her second attempt. She has done MBA and also worked for 6 years in the field of investment banking. UPSC Topper Priyamvada Ashok Mhaddalkar hails from Ratnagiri, Mumbai and her father works in a state government PSU in Maharashtra. She got the inspiration for the Civil Services from her father as he had a deep respect for the IAS officers.
Since she was 5 years old, Priyamvada Mhaddalkar always wanted to become a Collector but due to some circumstances, she too engineering after her schooling. She has done B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai and then went to IIM Bangalore for her MBA.
After completing his Master of Business Administration (MBA), she got a job in an investment banking firm. She had 6 years of work experience in the financial services sector and has worked with three companies. And she left her job in July 2020 to start her preparation for the Civil Services Examination and turn her childhood dream of becoming an IAS officer into a reality.
UPSC CSE 2021 is her second attempt where Priyambada Ashok Mhaddalkar has secured All India Rank 13 with Sociology optional. And she chose this subject as one has to work in society after becoming a civil servant and Sociology deals with the same.
Priyamvada Ashok Mhaddalkar scored 1024 marks out of 2025 marks in total which comprises 826 marks in the Civil Services (Main) written exam and 198 marks in the interview, also known as the Personality Test.
