Shruti Sharma UPSC Preparation Strategy

IAS Shruti Sharma prepared for the Civil Services exam through the standard UPSC preparation books like Indian Polity by M. Laxmikanth, Modern History by Spectrum, Geography by NCERT Books of Class XI and XII, Fine Arts by Class XI NCERT textbook, etc.

She also referred to notes of different coaching and teachers for the subjects they are famous for, like Shankar IAS’s book for Environment, Ayaz Sir Notes for Science and Technology, Zulfiqar Sir Notes for Economics, Vision IAS Magazine for Current Affairs and self notes that she prepared with her study group (Mini Shukla, Stanzin Wangyal and Bisaka Dagur).

Besides the basic books, Shruti Sharma consistently focused on the analysis of previous year’s papers and consequently made notes of certain sections like national parks and sanctuaries (plotted on Google Maps), Indian authors, Buddhism and Jainism, animals under the Species Recovery program, and current events from regular newspaper reading.
