AIR 6 rank-holder in the UPSC exam, Yaksh Chaudhary hails from a very humble family background in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. His father is into agriculture and so does Yaksh has knowledge about the same and the problems faced by the farmers and the people living in a village. And this is the biggest motivation for him to crack the Civil Services examination.
Yaksh Chaudhary has done his schooling from Sarvodya Saraswati Academy, Amroha till 12th and then he got into IIT Guwahati to pursue B.Tech in Civil Engineering. After his graduation, Yaksh started UPSC preparation and gave his first attempt in 2019 but couldn’t clear the exam.
Also, Yaksh got selected as Assitant Commandant in CRPF in the year 2019 but he continued his preparation for the Civil Services taking extra-ordinary leave from it. On his second attempt also, he couldn’t qualify for the UPSC exam and this is his 3rd attempt where he has managed to get an All India Rank 6. Now he might get Indian Administrative Service and we can very soon see Yaksh Chaudhary as an IAS officer.
UPSC Topper Yaksh Chaudhary studied the standard books that are popular in UPSC Exam preparation segment like Indian Polity by M. Laxmikanth, Indian Economy by Nitin Singhania, Geography by GC Leong, and many others including different study materials also available to him offline and online.
Yaksh Chaudhary scored 1033 marks out of 2025 marks in total which comprises 879 marks in the Civil Services (Main) written exam and 154 marks in the interview, also known as the personality test. He achieved All India Rank 6 with Sociology optional and it is his third attempt in UPSC CSE.
