Who is Yasharth Shekhar?

Yasharth Shekhar is AIR 12 rank-holder in UPSC CSE 2021 securing 306 marks in his optional subject, Geography. This is his third attempt at the Civil Services Examination and his childhood dream to become an IAS officer is going to be real very soon.

UPSC Topper Yasharth Shekhar Marksheet

Yasharth Shekhar has secured 1025 marks out of 2025 marks in the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination which comprises 863 marks in the written exam and 162 marks in the Personality Test also known as the interview.

IAS Yasharth Shekhar Biography

Yasharth Shekhar hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and becoming an IAS officer is his childhood dream. He studied at City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar till his 10th, then went to La Martiniere College for 12th and then got admission to St. Stephen’s College for pursuing his graduation in Economics Honours.

After his graduation, Yasharth Shekhar started his preparation for UPSC Civil Services Examination and gave his attempt but couldn’t even qualify for the Preliminary Exam. On his second attempt, he gave the interview but couldn’t make his name on the final list of recommended candidates for civil services.

This is his third attempt where he secured All India Rank 12 and he was overwhelmed seeing his name in the final list after two failed attempts. His first service preference is Indian Administrative Service and we can very soon see Yasharth Shekhar as an IAS officer after his training at LBSNAA.
