Ankita Agarwal, 3rd rank holder in UPSC CSE hails from West Bengal and did her schooling there. She then went to St. Stephen’s College for her graduation in B.A. Economics Honours, and currently living in Delhi.
After her graduation, she worked at a development consulting firm, named Dalberg for one year and then quit it and started preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
When she entered college, she was not very clear about what she wanted to do in life whether a corporate job or anything else? But in the last year of her college, she decided to go into civil services. And then she joined a coaching centre in Delhi and started reading for the same, and gave her first attempt in 2019.
UPSC CSE All India Rank 2 is a dream rank for every civil service aspirant, and Ankita Agarwal got it in her third attempt. Her first preference is IAS and second IPS, and most probably she will get into the Indian Administrative Service and soon become an IAS officer.
