Biography of Shruti Rajlakshmi
Shruti Rajlakshmi hails from Ranchi, Jharkhand but his parents are originally from Bihar. Her father is an advocate in Jharkhand High Court and her mother is also a government officer in Jharkhand working in the Social Welfare Department. While both her parents always wanted Shruti Rajlakshmi to get into the civil services but she chose it after a very long time.
UPSC Topper Shruti Rajlakshmi passed her 10th class from Loyola School, Jamshedpur and then passed her 12th class from Delhi Public School R. K. Puram, New Delhi. After that, she went to IIT BHU Varanasi to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.
At IIT BHU, she got placed in Goldman Sachs which is an investment banking MNC and she worked there for 8 months as an Analyst and then quit that job to start her preparation for the Civil Services Examination.
Actually, she had given her first attempt at UPSC CSE when she was in the last semester of her college, but couldn’t even qualify for the Prelims exam because of lack of preparation. Then she thought to prepare for the exam seriously and with discipline, so quit her job and focused only on preparation.
And this is her 2nd attempt at UPSC Civil Services Examination where she has managed to get an All India Rank 25 which is a dream for most aspirants. Looking at the rank, she will surely get the Indian Administrative Service in her service allocation and we can very soon see Shruti Rajlakshmi as an IAS officer after her training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.

Anthropology was the optional subject of Shruti Rajlakshmi who secured AIR 25 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Anthropology is all about humans and humanity, and she chose this subject as optional because civil servants have to deal with humans at every level and anthropology teaches you a lot about human behaviour and cultures.
